Preview: USA v Slovenia, England v Algeria, Germany v Serbia

USA v Slovenia
Both sides have scored their only goal thus far on goalkeeping errors. The United States were outplayed v England no matter how you look at it. Slovenia were the better side v Algeria, but are very fortunate to be leading Group C. The US probably are a more talented side, but it seems every World Cup, they have one good game, then mess up one of their easier matches. Slovenia may not be in a position like this again for a long time, where they lead USA and England in a World Cup. This should fire them up, and they must hope for a poor performance from USA. Yet I think Slovenia know that this is a rare, and they will take their chance, and my prediction for the final score: USA 1.1 Slovenia

England v Algeria
England were obviously the better team v USA, but their poor finishing and goalkeeping cost them all 3 pts and had to settle for just 1. Algeria were outplayed v Slovenia, and find themselves at the bottom of Group C. Robert Green should still play in goal for England, and if Rooney can get more involved, England can be very successful. I'm not worried about England defensively v Algeria, but if they can't finish, it won't matter. I think that England can pull it off, and put themselves in a postition to win the group before their last match v Slovenia. I predict: England 2.0 Algeria

Germany v Serbia
Germany were perhaps the most impressive side in their 1st match v Australia. Serbia were expected to be good, but a loss to Ghana doesn't look good. If Germany can match that performance of their 4.0 thumping, Serbia shouldn't stand to much resistance for them. Serbia were not strong in what was probably their best strength, which is organization. Fix that up, and maybe they can steal a point and keep themselves alive in the group. My prediction is: Germany 3.1 Serbia
